Our team’s mission is to govern and develop world class design and ergonomics for Atlas Copco Industrial Technique. We do this by ensuring human needs are accounted for by the holistic knowledge of our team within design, ergonomics, user experience and studio engineering. The team has a global responsibility and close collaboration with our colleagues in Sweden, Italy, Germany, UK and the US. The position is situated at our head office in Nacka (Stockholm). You will get the opportunity to meet and collaborate with our global colleagues and customers. The position includes about 10-14 travel days per year.

Your primary role as Ergonomics Specialist will be to ensure that the human needs of the users of our products are met by conducting ergonomics measurements in our lab, visiting customers; creating and reviewing ergonomics requirements in projects; and supporting development teams with knowledge in the area of ergonomics.
Our ergonomics team covers among other areas: noise, vibration, temperature, anthropometrics and forces applied onto the user. As the newest member in this competence, you will support all these areas with a main focus on noise and vibrations. You will be working in close collaboration with our other ergonomics specialists, designers and studio engineers in various development projects. There will be opportunities to conduct research and work developing international standards that impact our industry.
- Relevant engineering education or from related field of ergonomics in sound and vibrations
- Good communication/presentation skills
- Pragmatic mindset to understanding and satisfying both user and business needs
- Structured and analytical approach to problem solving
- Good planning skills
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
It is a plus if you have experience from working in lab environment using measurement systems and analyzing data with software such as MatLab.
